Theesus

Theesus

AKA:
Lord of the Underworld, Prison Lord, Gate Keeper, Crypt King, Enslaver, Manacle
DEPICTED:
The Gate Keeper is seen as a hulking figure, robed in dark tattered garments. There is often seen a single glowing white or red point deep in the cowl. The robes are often bound with a chain, with rusted keys dangling from it.
SPHERES:
The Dead, Prison, slavery, Judgement, torture, lost things, locks
COLORS:
Rust, Verdigris, Rot, Steel, Bone
THINGS:
Locks and gates are the most tangible things to the Crypt king. In fact the most common symbol is a small 12 bar gate. It is most important that any followers have a significant casket, sarcophagus, or other interment. Simply being placed in a crypt is not sufficient, for that is the resting place of the slave souls. A common sacrifice is 6 coins, often silver to ensure payment to each of the 6 prison guards. (however, these are not usually coins of the realm, but temple minted Death Tokens. The cost of which vary by their quality, and the status of the deceased spirit). Routine and Habit are also sacred to the keeper of the dead, innovation is slow in these halls.
PRIESTS:
Keeper, Watcher, Ma’klur, and Ondeen. Warden is the temple leader, and is rewarded with a black iron manacle being sealed to his wrist and ankle. Vestments Are leather trousers, with long tunics, wearing badges of rank, often marked with keys. Higher ranked Ma’klur wear chains, fitted with locks, rather than leather belts. The Day Guard Priests carry whips to ensure order, the Night Guard carry studded clubs
PALADINS:
The paladins of the underworld, known as Guardians, are physically imposing, and are often hired by the secular authorities to carry out particular missions , such as escort. They are recognizable as they have the gate tattooed in the center of the forehead, and always carry whips as well as other weapons.
FAITHFUL:
Any who wish to secure a comfortable Beyond Life will offer at the very least some worship of the Gate Keeper. Anyone who keeps prisoners often follows him as well, as most who pass judgement.
ORIGINS:
Theesus is a creation of Chaos given over to Releaser. It was sent down to collect the fragments of these bits of life, but the God War kept it from returning them, so It now haordes 12,000 12,000 of them. the rest are released into the world or broken and scattered in the Chambers.
NOTES:
The followers hope to be the guards of the prisons, or watcher of the 12,000 12,000 slave souls. The Oubliette of smoke is reserved for those who most displease The Keeper, even beyond those who will spend eternity in the Chambers of Pain.
